Ireland Baldwin wants to be part of the healthy model movement.
This week we've heard Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue staples Kate Upton and Chrissy Teigen talk about how, unlike some of their peers, they aren't being encouraged to starve themselves and their (slightly) curvier bodies actually help them land work. Now, the 17-year-old daughter of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger, who landed her first professional modeling contract in March, is following their lead.
"I want to be an inspirational model," the 6-foot-2 blonde said to People magazine. "I want people to look at me and say, 'Wow, she looks healthy.'"

And Ireland seems to be practicing what she preaches, as evident in new photos of the celeb offspring. On Thursday, she was photographed stretching before taking a leisurely walk with a young friend in Los Angeles.
"My parents always manage to work things out," Ireland said, adding that they "can have each other over for Thanksgiving just to make me happy. The co-parenting is intact."
Ireland went on to talk about becoming a big sister when Alec and his second wife, Hilaria, welcome a child this summer. ("I'm so excited to have a sibling," she gushed.) She also discussed the close bond she shares her mother.
"We're best friends," Ireland said of Basinger, noting that they have "dance parties in the kitchen" and she loves "stealing" clothes from her mother's "pretty phenomenal Sarah Jessica Parker closet."
In fact, Ireland -- who is dating stand-up paddleboarder Slater Trout, 18 -- said she gets her positive attitude from her movie star mom, as well.
"My mom told me not to listen to what other people say if it's negative," she said. "Always keep positive."
